Our Foundation
Halwot Emmanuel United Church ("Halwot") was founded in December 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Through the mission that God gave the leading pastor, Zenebe Girma, the Church was planted in the Wollo Sefer area of Addis.
Though initially started with a very small group of believers, the Church soon grew tremendously through the grace of God. Soon after Halwot opened its doors, believers were flooding from different parts of the city to gather and worship Christ together.
The Church was founded on the strong belief that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be shared with believers to strengthen their personal walk with Christ, as well as those who have not yet heard the Gospel or accepted Jesus Christ as their saviour.
